This template may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion as a template that is not being employed in any useful fashion, and which satisfies one of the following conditions:

It is a substantial duplication of the template {{[[Template:|]]}}, or
It is a hardcoded instance of template {{[[Template:|]]}}, where the same functionality could be provided by that template.

This template is used to tag pages for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria, specifically CSD T3. There is a separate template for each criterion – see the table to the right.

This template places the page into the categories: Candidates for speedy deletion, and Candidates for speedy deletion as unused redundant templates seven days after they are tagged.

Usage

The template should be placed at the top of the page to be deleted. Note the five "~" instead of the usual four for a signature.

If the date parameter is not correctly specified, along with at least one of the reasoning parameters, the page is categorised into Category:Templates for speedy deletion with incorrect formatting.

Parameters

{{db-t3|~~~~~|TemplateName}}

where TemplateName is the name of the template which has been duplicated or hardcoded

{{db-t3|~~~~~|module=ModuleName}}

where ModuleName is the name of the Lua module whose code replaces the template, rendering it redundant

{{db-t3|~~~~~|rationale=ExampleReason}}.

{{db-t3|bot=ExampleBot|~~~~~|TemplateName}}

Bot accounts will specify the |bot= parameter to notify the reviewing admin that the page was tagged by an automated process.
