Wayback Machine question (not IA BOT)
[edit]I wonder if you might know the answer or know someone who does. I was trying to save the latest snapshot of a specific URL (http://trs-80.org/) because the owner died 2 days ago (notice was added to the page and I am trying to capture it to the archive) but the save request comes back as "unreachable". The thing is, I get that same error in my browser when I try to access the page with HTTPS but not when I try to access it with HTTP. All of the older snapshots of the target page are listed as using HTTP so I am wondering if Archive.Org is forcing the protocol to HTTPS in the background? or if you have any idea how to get the snapshot with the death notice?
