Christian เริ่มฝึกมวยปล้ำที่ Sulivan’s Gym ร่วมกับ Edge เปิดตัวในวงการอินดี้แคนาดาปี 1995 ใช้ชื่อว่า Christian Cage (ตั้งชื่อตาม Nicolas Cage และ Christian Slater) ปล้ำตามสมาคมเล็ก ๆ ในแคนาดาและญี่ปุ่น จนกระทั่งได้สัญญากับ WWF[4][17][4]

WWF / WWE ยุคแรก

เปิดตัว WWF ปี 1998 ในฐานะ น้องชายของ Edge โดยเข้ามาในกลุ่ม The Brood (ร่วมกับ Gangrel) ปี 1999–2000 Christian & Edge กลายเป็นแท็กทีมชั้นนำ คว้าแชมป์แท็กทีม หลายสมัย คู่ Edge & Christian มีชื่อเสียงจาก TLC Match ใน WrestleMania ร่วมกับ The Hardy Boyz และ Dudley Boyz เป็นหนึ่งในทีมที่ยกระดับดิวิชั่นแท็กทีมในยุค Attitude Era[18][19][20][21]

พฤศจิกายน 2005 เซ็นสัญญากับ TNA ใช้ชื่อ Christian Cage ได้รับการผลักดันทันทีเป็นเมนอีเวนต์ คว้าแชมป์โลก NWA 2 สมัย มีบทบาทนำทีม “Christian’s Coalition” และแมตช์เด่นกับ Kurt Angle, Sting, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles ปี 2008 หมดสัญญาและกลับ WWE[24][25]

กลับสู่ WWE

Christian กลับสู่ WWE อีกครั้งเปิดตัวที่ ECW ในปี 2009[26] คว้าแชมป์ ECW 2 สมัย[27][28] หลัง ECW ยกเลิกในปี 2010 เขาย้ายสู่ SmackDown[29] ในปี 2011 Edge รีไทร์เพราะอาการบาดเจ็บและต้องสละแชมป์โลกเฮฟวีเวท Christian สามารถคว้าแชมป์โลกเฮฟวีเวทครั้งแรกในชีวิต เอาชนะ Alberto Del Rio ที่ Extreme Rules ในรูปแบบไต่บันไดหาแชมป์ที่ว่างอยู่[30] เสียแชมป์ให้ Randy Orton ภายใน 2 วัน จากนั้นมีเรื่องราวกันต่อจนได้แชมป์คืน (รวม 2 สมัย)[31] คว้าแชมป์อินเตอร์คอนติเนนทัลเพิ่มเติมในปี 2012[32] มีฉายาใหม่ “One More Match” เพราะแฟน ๆ เรียกร้องให้เขาได้อีกสักครั้ง แต่ก็ได้รับบาดเจ็บสะสมบ่อยครั้ง ทำให้ WWE ไม่ดันเป็นเมนอีเวนต์ถาวร[33]

เดิมมีข่าวว่าจะกลับ WWE เต็มเวลา แต่สุดท้ายเขาเลือกเซ็นสัญญากับ AEW ในชื่อ Christian Cage โดยเปิดตัวในศึก Revolution 2021[37][38] ต่อมาเขาเอาชนะ Kenny Omega คว้าแชมป์โลก Impact (แชมป์โลกเก่าที่เขาเคยได้ตอน TNA)[39] มีบทบาทใน AEW Dynamite และ Collision สุดโดดเด่น โดยเฉพาะคาแรกเตอร์ “evil father figure” ที่จับคู่/ปกครอง Luchasaurus และ Nick Wayne คว้าแชมป์ TNT และใช้กิมมิค “The Patriarch” ทำให้เขากลายเป็นฮีลที่ร้อนแรงในยุค 2023–2024[40][41]
