Biplab Halder is an Indian academic administrator who is currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of ICFAI University, Tripura, a university recognized by the UGC.[1][2]

Awards and Honours

In May 2025, Halder was honoured by Times Now as a "Pioneer in Building Universities and Educational Leadership" at an award ceremony in Guwahati.[3][4]

Education and career

Halder completed his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur, later he earned his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, followed by a Ph.D. in Management from ICFAI University, Dehradun.[5]

During Halder's tenure as Vice-Chancellor, ICFAI University Tripura signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Troy University, United States, on 5 March 2025, for joint research initiatives.[6][7]
