Daniel Alejandro Suárez Piñeres (born on the 22 March 2000 in Floridablanca, Colombia) is a Colombian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Maltese club Ta' Xbiex S.C..

Early Life and Youth Career

Suárez was born in Floridablanca, Colombia. He began playing football at a young age and joined the youth academy of Atlético Bucaramanga in 2007.

In 2017, Suárez was called up to the Colombia national under-17 football team. This achievement contributed to his promotion to Atlético Bucaramanga's professional squad later that year.[citation needed]

After progressing through the youth ranks, Suárez was promoted to the Atlético Bucaramanga first team in 2017. Over four seasons, he trained and competed at Colombia's top domestic level.[citation needed]

Olympic Club Deportivo

In 2021, Suárez signed with Olympic Club Deportivo to gain more first-team opportunities. During the 2021–2022 season, he established himself as a consistent presence in goal.[citation needed]

Ta' Xbiex S.C.

In 2025, Suárez moved to Malta to join Ta' Xbiex S.C. of the Maltese National Amateur League II.[1]

Playing style

Standing 1.88 metres tall and weighing approximately 80.5 kilograms, Suárez combines physical presence with agility and reflexes. His explosive power allows for acrobatic saves, while his accurate distribution helps initiate plays from the back. Comfortable using both feet despite being naturally right-footed, he supports possession-based football.[citation needed]
