elvex is an American artificial intelligence company that develops an enterprise AI platform designed to accelerate the adoption of AI tools across organizations.[1] The company was founded in 2023 by former Parse.ly executives and raised $6.4 million in seed funding in December 2024.[2]
History
[edit]Founding
[edit]elvex was co-founded in 2023 by Parse.ly executives Sachin Kamdar, Mike Sukmanowsky and John Levitt. The founders had previously worked at Parse.ly, a content analytics platform that was acquired by WordPress parent Automattic in 2021 in what was described as Automattic's largest acquisition by cost and revenue.[3]
Funding
[edit]In December 2024, elvex raised $6.4 million in seed funding. The seed round was led by MXV Capital and FCVC, with participation from Remarkable Ventures, Industry Ventures, Accelerator Ventures and other angel investors. According to MXV Capital founder Mark Ghermezian, "The elvex team's track record gives us confidence in their vision for AI."[4][5][6]
Platform and Technology
[edit]elvex operates as a unified AI platform that can work with multiple AI models and enables non-technical employees to easily create, use and share AI assistants. The platform is designed to accelerate the adoption of AI chatbots and tools across an entire organization.
The platform allows users to create "assistants," which are pre-configured chatbots equipped with corporate data. Key features include:
- Multi-model compatibility: Works with various AI models from different providers
- Data integration: Connects corporate data to enhance AI workflow results
- Document analysis: Retrieves and synthesizes information from business data
- Web browsing and research: Searches the web for current information
- Workflow automation: Sequences multiple customizable steps together
- Access management: Provides advanced permissioning, SAML SSO, and audit logs
- Analytics and monitoring: Tracks usage and AI interactions across the organization
Business Model
[edit]Enterprise companies can access the platform via an annual subscription that's charged based on usage rather than traditional per-seat pricing. This usage-based model allows companies to scale AI adoption without fixed seat costs.
Customers
[edit]elvex's clients include Movable Ink, The Boston Globe, Automattic, Embark and McClatchy. The platform serves various enterprise functions including content creation, sales automation, marketing campaigns, customer support, financial analysis, and engineering documentation.
