Firefly Creative Studio is an Indian Visual effects and Animation company based in Hyderabad, India. The company was founded in 2002 by Phani Eggone, Sanath PC and Nagesh HN. The studio received the National Film Award in 2004 for "Anji".
Firefly's business is CGI for feature films. They design & execute complex, photoreal creatures, digital sets and environmental effects - all holy grails of CGI, worldwide. The studio is a recipient of the Indian National Film Award and the Andhra Pradesh state Award for Best Visual Effects feature film Anji.
Firefly also won State Awards for movies Arundathi, Anaganaga O Dheerudu and Soggade Chinni Nayana.
Studio credits for Design & VFX include Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Enthiran, 2.0, RRR, Kalki 2898 AD and many more
History
[edit]The company was founded by Phani Eggone and Sanath PC in 2009, off the success of their collaboration on Magadheera (2009), the trio brought in private investment and technical advisors from the entertainment and technology industries to their board of directors, such as Dasaradha Gude, Raja Koduri, and S. S. Rajamouli, along with long-time collaborator, Suresh N as studio lead. As per an agreement, Rajamouli exited from the board of directors after two calendar years, during the production of Enthiran and Phani Eggone personally exited in 2010. Phani and Sanath have been spearheading the studio's operations since.
