Globalization Partners (G-P) is an American company that provides global Employer of Record (EOR) and workforce management platform that enables companies to hire international employees without the need for establishing foreign subsidiaries. G-P offers services including compliance, payroll, tax management, and human resources solutions.[1] Industry analyst firms such as NelsonHall have recognized G-P as a leader in the EOR market.[2]

History

[edit]

Globalization Partners was founded in 2012 by Nicole Sahin. G-P aims to simplify international hiring and help businesses ensure compliance with local labor laws when expanding globally.[3]

In February 2020, G-P announced it had secured a $150 million minority equity investment from firms including Wincove Private Holdings, TDR Capital, and Sands Capital Ventures. In January 2022, the company raised an additional $200 million in a minority equity investment led by Vista Credit Partners, which, according to G-P, valued the company at $4.2 billion.[4]

The company officially rebranded from Globalization Partners to G-P in October 2022.[5] In the first quarter of 2023, G-P launched its G-P Meridian Suite, a SaaS-based global employment product suite. Later in 2023, G-P introduced G-P Gia, an AI-enabled "global intelligence assistant" designed to provide HR and compliance information.[6]

Services and Technology

[edit]

G-P operates as an Employer of Record, acting as the legal employer for workers in foreign countries on behalf of its clients. This model allows companies to hire talent in international markets without establishing their own local legal entities. [7]G-P manages responsibilities such as payroll processing, benefits administration, HR support, and compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations. The company states it provides these services in over 180 countries and supports payments in approximately 150 currencies. A 2024 NelsonHall report indicated that G-P operates with its own legal entities in approximately 160 countries.[8]
