Harinarayan Rajeev is an Indian animator, filmmaker, and animation supervisor renowned for his contributions to both live-action and animated feature films in Hollywood. He is a recipient of the Visual Effects Society (VES) Award and has been nominated for the Annie Awards.[1]

Early Life and Education

Rajeev was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. His fascination with animation began at the age of six after watching Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993) with his father in Thiruvananthapuram. This early exposure to visual effects inspired him to pursue a career in animation.

He studied animation at Toonz Academy in Kerala, where he developed his expertise in character animation and visual storytelling.[2]

Career

Rajeev began his professional journey in Mumbai and later expanded his career internationally to the United Kingdom and Canada. Over the years, he has worked with leading visual effects studios such as DreamWorks Animation, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Sony Pictures Imageworks, Moving Picture Company (MPC), and DNEG.

His filmography includes a range of high-profile titles:
