Comment: Fails WP:NCOMPANY - lacks independent verifiable secondary sources. The LE Aviation website is a primary source. Dan arndt (talk) 04:12, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
LE Aviation (Leading Edge Aviation) is a fixed-base operator (FBO), Part 61 flight training school, and aircraft maintenance provider based at Logan–Cache Airport (KLGU) in Logan, Utah, United States. The company operates a full maintenance center—including factory-authorized Cirrus Service Center capabilities—with a fleet of training aircraft, and maintains a pilot supply shop.
History
[edit]In November 1997, Scott Weaver began working as a lineman at the local FBO at Logan–Cache Airport while a student at Utah State University. He later became a flight instructor, site manager, and chief flight instructor at multiple locations. In 2004, Weaver purchased the struggling Logan operation using a small business loan, establishing LE Aviation. By 2012, the company employed approximately forty staff members and served about 160 full- and part-time students with FBO services, maintenance, and flight training.[1]
Flight training
[edit]LE Aviation (Leading Edge Aviation) provides flight training under Part 61 of the Federal Aviation Regulations, offering certificates from Private Pilot through Certified Flight Instructor. The school also offers ratings including Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, and additional endorsements such as mountain flying, glider training, and tailwheel/upset recovery (“upside-down training”). Instruction is described as flexible, fast-paced, and at the student’s own pace.[2]
Fleet
[edit]The LE Aviation fleet includes a range of single and multi-engine aircraft used for training:
- Cessna 152
- Cessna 172
- Cessna 182
- Cirrus SR22T and SR22
- American Champion Super Decathlon
- Piper Seminole
- Diamond DA-40
- LET L-23 Super Blanik Glider[3]
Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) services
[edit]As an FBO, LE Aviation provides Avgas and jet fuel, hangar and tie-down space, oxygen service, aircraft detailing, GPU support, lavatory service, and a pilot lounge with a flight-planning area. A courtesy car is available, and 24-hour call-out service is provided. All line personnel are AvFuel-line trained and certified.[4]
Maintenance
[edit]LE Aviation operates an on-site maintenance center offering services for piston and turbine engines, structural repairs, avionics, interior work, pre-buy inspections, and parts support. The facility is also a factory-authorized Cirrus Service Center.[4]
Pilot supply shop
[edit]At its Logan location, LE Aviation operates a pilot supply shop providing aviation supplies, training materials, and accessories to the local pilot community.[4]
Reputation
[edit]LE Aviation has received strong reviews online, with approximately 249 Google user reviews averaging a 4.9-star rating.[5]
