Mahadev Payakkal (born 1975) is an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil-language films, web series, and short films. Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, he is recognized for his authoritative on-screen presence and often portrays police officers, professionals, and character roles.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Mahadev Payakkal was born in Vellangallur, Thrissur district, Kerala, India. He moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu with his family at the age of five. He completed his schooling at Sir M. Venkata Subba Rao Boys School, T. Nagar, Chennai. He pursued a B.A. in Economics through correspondence from the University of Madras.
Personal life and early career
[edit]Before entering the film industry, Mahadev was active in sports and played Second Division cricket for Vijay Cricket Club between 1990 and 1993. He worked in Brunei Darussalam from 1997 to 2000, and later spent 17 years in Chicago, USA (2004–2021).
He returned to Chennai in 2021 and began acting in September 2022, appearing in films, web series, advertisements, and short films.
He speaks English, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
