Ronen Plot (Hebrew: רונן פלוט) is an Israeli politician and current mayor of **Nof HaGalil** (formerly Nazareth Illit).[1] He has also served as acting chairman of the **Yad Vashem** Holocaust Memorial Museum. [2]

Political career

Plot became mayor of Nof HaGalil, a northern Israeli city, and has been involved in initiatives like renaming the city to differentiate from neighboring Nazareth.[3]

In 2020, Plot was appointed acting chairman of Yad Vashem during a period of leadership controversy.[4]

He continues to act as mayor and has engaged with national leadership, such as attending a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu in 2025.[5]

  • In 2025, Plot participated in the inauguration of Israel’s first grove honoring **Prisoners of Zion**, in Nof HaGalil.[6]
