Shivdani is an Indian politician. He was the first BJP MLA elected from the Chail constituency in Uttar Pradesh. He later served as the Chairman of the Nagar Panchayat Sarai Akil in Kaushambi district, Uttar Pradesh, from 2017 to 2022.[1]
Political career
[edit]- Shivdani has been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party for a long time.[2]
- He was active during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, and in 1990 he was arrested along with other activists in Naini Jail.[3]
- In 1993, he was elected as the first BJP MLA from the Chail (Assembly constituency).[4]
- In 2017, he was elected as the Chairman of Nagar Panchayat Sarai Akil,.[5]
Controversies and incidents
[edit]- During the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, his arrest was reported in local media.
- After being elected Chairman, his house was targeted in a bomb attack, which created tension in the area.[6]
