Summary

Description
English: Regulation of the cell progression through the stages of division in a controlled and orderly manner. Checkpoints are where the cell assesses whether key processes have been properly completed. If there is an issue, the cell can halt its progression to allow for repairs or even initiate apoptosis. These points act as the critical safeguards of cell division.
