Default behavior

Shouldn't it default to something like {{PAGENAME}}/styles.css if no param is specced? jp×g 🗯️ 23:01, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This was implemented in Special:Diff/1093428599/1234206479 by User:Pppery.

A side-effect of this change is how the template without parameters is shown on /sandbox pages. E.g. transclusion of {{uses templatestyles}} on Template:Wiktionary redirect links to both Template:Wiktionary redirect/styles.css and its sandbox version Template:Wiktionary redirect/sandbox/styles.css, but on Template:Wiktionary redirect/sandbox it only links to the latter.

Perhaps the line prefixed = prefixed:gsub("/doc","") should be expanded to remove /sandbox from the string as well? —⁠andrybak (talk) 03:56, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Module:TNT on my own wiki?

I've copied this template into my own MediqWiki install. I'm not publishing in any language other than English and I don't really want to install the JsonConfig extension, so I need to remove the call to Module:TNT so that it will work on my wiki. @Pppery: Per my comment at Template talk:Uses TemplateStyles -- I momentarily forgot this was a module and not a template so the "quick fix" would not be doable by me -- wouldn't it be somewhat smarter to give a default val of {{PAGENAME}}/styles.css if this was called with no param? jp×g 🗯️ 23:02, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on use of this template outside of template space

There is a discussion on the use of this template outside of template and module space, and more generally, the use of */styles.css pages in namespaces other than template and module space.
