Railsware is a Ukrainian-founded product studio and software development agency headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine.[1] The company provides product development and software engineering services while building its own SaaS solutions, including Mailtrap, Coupler.io, and productivity tools under the TitanApps brand.[2] In 2024, the company was listed in the Inc. 5000 ranking of fast-growing companies.[3]
History
[edit]Railsware was founded in 2007 as a Ruby on Rails engineering team and gradually evolved into a product studio model combining client-facing consulting with in-house product development.[4] In its early years, the company focused on software engineering for startups and later began launching proprietary products. In 2024, Forbes Ukraine included Railsware among twenty long-standing Ukrainian IT companies that have continuously developed their own products for over a decade.[5] In 2025 the company was named among top 100 Ruby on Rails development companies by Techreviewer.co.[6]
Railsware operates as a distributed company with offices in Kyiv, Kraków, Warsaw, and Los Angeles.[7]
Operations
[edit]Railsware contributed to the development of Calendly, building the platform’s early minimum viable product (MVP) before its launch in 2013.[8] In a 2022 profile, Forbes reported that Tope Awotona, Calendly’s founder, engaged Railsware in Kyiv to build the initial version of the product.[9] The agency has also collaborated with clients such as ParentSquare[10] and TradeZella.
Products
[edit]- Coupler.io is a data integration service.[13]
Recognition
[edit]In August 2024, Railsware ranked No. 1,607 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the United States.[16] The company has been featured by Forbes Ukraine and Speka as one of the most established Ukrainian product studios and among the leading developers investing in long-term SaaS ventures.[17]
