Norman Stuart Craig OBE (Norwich, 14 de abril de 1942 – 7 de setembro de 2025) foi um diretor de arte e cenógrafo britânico.

Biografia

Craig trabalhou como diretor de arte em diversas produções de destaque, sendo responsável pelos cenários de todas as adaptações cinematográficas da franquia Harry Potter, em colaboração com a decoradora Stephenie McMillan, até 2017.

A pedido da autora J. K. Rowling, integrou a equipe da Universal Creative no desenvolvimento do parque temático The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, inaugurado no Islands of Adventure. Em entrevista concedida ao podcast PotterCast em dezembro de 2007, Rowling afirmou:

"A condição essencial para mim foi esta: se houvesse um parque temático, Stuart Craig estaria envolvido... Mais do que envolvido, ele o projetaria. Porque gosto do visual dos filmes: eles realmente refletem o que esteve em minha mente todos esses anos."

Craig recebeu onze indicações ao Oscar e venceu em três ocasiões, todas na categoria de Melhor Direção de Arte: em 1983 por Gandhi, em 1989 por Ligações Perigosas e em 1997 por O Paciente Inglês.

Foi indicado quinze vezes ao BAFTA e venceu três: em 1980 por O Homem Elefante, em 2005 por Harry Potter e o Cálice de Fogo e em 2017 por Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Foi ainda nomeado seis vezes consecutivas ao BAFTA pelas seis primeiras produções da franquia Harry Potter.

O seu trabalho em O Paciente Inglês, Harry Potter e a Pedra Filosofal, Harry Potter e a Ordem da Fênix, Harry Potter e o Enigma do Príncipe e Harry Potter e as Relíquias da Morte rendeu-lhe indicações ao prêmio da Art Directors Guild. Em 16 de fevereiro de 2008, foi também homenageado pela associação com o prêmio honorário pelo conjunto da obra.
