The Nintendo Switch 2 is a video game console developed by Nintendo. It was revealed on January 16, 2025, and released on June 5th.[7] While it is able to support some original Nintendo Switch games, there are still a few Switch games that lack compatibility.[8][9]
Games
[change | change source]- Cyberpunk 2077
- Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour
- Donkey Kong Bananza
- Drag X Drive
- Fast Fusion
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Kirby Air Riders
- Mario Kart World
Some games for the first Nintendo Switch are backwards compatible, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Also, a small amount of them are eligible for a Switch 2 upgrade, such as Super Mario Odyssey.
New features
[change | change source]- There is a second USB-C port at the top of the device (The Switch 1 only had one USB-C port).[10][11]
- Webcam support has been added, with a webcam accessory available.[12][13] Smartphones can be used as a webcam unofficially with a capture card.[14][15]
- Microphone(s) that can filter out the background noise.[source?]
