About me
Leah is a Filipino Wikimedian and a faculty at College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), San Jose Pili, Camarines Sur
She has been involved with the Wikimedia movement since 2014. As a contributor to Bikol Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. She is affiliated with the Philippine Wikimedia Community user group. She participated and facilitated the user group in the following local conferences:
- WikiCommons Philippines Conference 2023 with the theme "preserving Our Heritage: safeguarding Digital Assets Through Wkimedia" Held on December 17-19, 2023 at Avenue Plaza hotel & La Herencia comida in Naga City. (Participant)
- GLAM Wiki Conference Philippines 2024 with a theme "Empowering Communities Toward an Accessible Knowledge of Culture Heritage" at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, Philippines (Participant)
- Capacity Building and Strategic Workshop 2025 at Presentacion, Camarines Sur (Facilitator)
My work
As a member and current board chair of the Philippine Wikimedia Community, Leah is actively facilitating in different projects, activities, and initiatives of the UserGroup, contributing to its primary programs: Advocacy, Diversity, Education, GLAM, and Outreach Philippine Wikimedia Community (PH-WC).
She is also an active contributor to different Wikimedia Commons projects since 2014, such as the Wiki Loves Earth Philippines "Feminism and Folklore" "Wiki Loves Food" "Wiki GLAM" "Wiki GAP", Wikipedia Asian Month and others. With this effort, he was awarded as the best contributor with the most number of uploaded quality photos during the Wiki Love Earth Phillipines.
She is invaluable contribution as Facilitator during the WikiQuest: Journey through the World of Wikis with the theme "Quest for Wisdom: Unlocking the Wiki Mysteryies" Held at Villa Caroloina on April 6, 2024.
She is actively participating in the WikiGap Edit-a-thon 2024 with 133 edits and 964,452 characters held from March 9-31, 2024 at Naga City, Philippines and won the first place award for the most number of edits or contributed during the editing contest.
She is outstanding dedication and impact contribution to knowledge equity through active participation in the WikiGap Edit-a-thon 2025 held from March 1 to April 30, 2025, in Naga City, Philippines.
