@Terrainman My edit somery got soo long[1] that I think it may be better to discuss it here instead of via edit wars. Anthony2106 (talk) 23:19, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So the wikipedia android app sucks and didn't tell me I went over, at the end it should read "but arch is popular because its hard". Anthony2106 (talk) 23:21, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What I said in the reversion still stands, not sure what that last part has to do with it? the fact that a DE isn't selected by default isn't enough reason. Having a picture gives the article value; it makes it clear that Arch is a distro which is frequently used with a DE as other distros are. 𝙏𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙢𝙖𝙣地形人 (talk) 07:04, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Since it is a change you would like to make, it is better to reach consensus before the change rather than wait for consensus until it is reverted. 𝙏𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙢𝙖𝙣地形人 (talk) 07:20, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Terrainman Yeah we can leave it untill someone else has something to say. Anthony2106 (talk) 08:42, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect I use arch btw has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Readers of this page are welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 January 4 § I use arch btw until a consensus is reached. CachyOS

[edit]

"CachyOS" redirects here, but there is no mention of it anywhere on the page.

The redirect should be deleted. David G (talk) 19:21, 18 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I just arrived here for the same reason. However, I am not sure if the resolution should be to remove the redirect or mention CachyOS under derivatives. Nuretok (talk) 06:32, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

ddos august 2025

[edit]

there 2 edits [1][2] from @Collbrothers and @Ho1Ai

on [1] As of 24 August 2025 the attacks remain

from the given source [3] there is no mention on the date

on [2] As of 30 August 2025 the attack was discontinued

with comment https://archlinux.org/ - site, which was under DDoS (AUR - https://aur.archlinux.org/). Now it works. I'm not sure, when this attack was discontinued, but at least the site didn't work on 2025/08/29 at 6:32 AM UTC+3 and it was OK on 2025/08/30 at approximately 8:15 PM

i think this feel like Wikipedia:No original research case. looking at [4] it may not completely stop yet.

i recommend to wait until there is announcement or another source that report about this

until then i removed both statement for now
