I was going to propose a rewrite, but honestly, I think you're wrong on this one, Coffeeandcrumbs. Pioneer isn't puffery. wiktionary:pioneer defines the word as "A person or other entity who is first or among the earliest in any field of inquiry, enterprise, or progress." Age of Subject at Debut and Photograph

Came across this article from the 'Did You Know' segment. She 1st wrestled at age 9 and the photograph depicts her at 10? I mean it's perfectly possible but seems unlikely to this relative layperson.
