This page is in the process of being created. Help would be great. It's an important topic. UploadPanda (talk) 00:05, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think it could live under either Search engine optimization or Artificial intelligence optimization? Dflovett (talk) 14:40, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on merging this page with "Artificial intelligence optimization"

[edit]

Right now, these are essentially conveying the same narrative, with different naming conventions. It could also make sense to merge both under "search engine optimization" Dflovett (talk) 20:23, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm concerned with Artificial intelligence optimization distinguishing the concept from GEO in the lead. That article is also in a sorry state, from a quick glance it has been REFBOMBed with random sites relating to AI/LLMs, but which do not verify the claims. It also repeats the laughable claim that GenAI prioritizes "factual accuracy", which I would politely call "FM".
I'm not convinced there is a difference between AIO, AEO, and GEO. They all seem to be rushed attempts to stake a "successor" term for SEO. My preference would be to delete both of these articles, with a new one being written from the ground up if/when one term is settled on and good sourcing exists, but I know our ChatGPT-incumbered editing contingent won't let us be so patient. I agree completely and think all of this could live under "SEO" in a new section. Dflovett (talk) 13:24, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that AI optimization and GEO are completely different things. SEO and GEO are also completely different things.
AI Optimization = Making AI or business processes smarter
GEO = Making your content more visible to AI tools that generate responses UploadPanda (talk) 03:02, 27 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
