Arabic name of the islands

[edit]

Some editors want to include the Arabic name of these islands in the lead and the infobox. Arabic is not an official language in Iran, thus I removed it, I would appreciate the insight of other editors about this. thanks.---Wikaviani (talk) (contribs) 10:14, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't matter, if there is any "Disputed" land or sea, all terms of both sides are kept… UAE KING (talk) 16:46, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Tone of dispute section

[edit]

The dispute section is unduly long, gives undue and selective context, and appears written as an essay defending Iranian claims and underplaying or refuting UAE claims.

I have zero subject matter expertise (came to this page after reading a joint statement by the Canadian and UAE govenrments that mentioned the islands because I had never heard of them) and thus I cannot clean up the article because I cannot distinguish the misleading from the unimportant from the essential. Nevertheless it is incredibly obvious that the tone is neither neutral, nor encyclopedic. In particular, nonstandard phrasing, selective framing, and non-encyclopedic language (especially superlatives and value judgements) are ubiquitous. ~2025-31194-12 (talk) 12:21, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
