Dance leader and songwriter

[edit]

Why was my input of his official rol as dance leader and sonwriting credits reverted? They all had links to validate. T.Leeknowsauria (talk) 22:21, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Per MOS:ROLEBIO, the opening sentence is limited to broad, defining roles. Additionally, simply providing a source does not automatically make it a reliable source, and even information that is verifiable does not guarantee inclusion. There is also established community consensus against including internal group position labels such as "dancer leader" per WP:KO/MEMPOS. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 11:55, 17 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The YouTube link I added as source to dance leader, is from the groups official account, with the members themselves explaining why Lee Know is the dance leader and why he was given that reaponsability, so its beyond reliable.
Bang Chan's article included him as the "Leader" without sources, so I don't understand why "dance leader" wouldn't be added to Lee Know.
Finally, in the community consensus you shared, they talk about roles beyond their primary position, as in not to be too specific with "vocals" making it "main vocal" or "sub vocal", or dancers, specifying "lead dancer" or "main dancer", since all of this are more subjective. This is a different role and definition, this is not a "dancer position" the dance leader means that he is literally they one in charge of aranging their schedules for practices, going over the details of the choreos, correcting coordination or the group, deciding the choreagraphy among the ones others choreographers sends them etc, like a teacher. It's not if he is "main", "lead", or "sub" dancer, this is completely separated. Not all K-pop groups have this type of work, but are more in house production, like Sev in all aspectse music wise and choreography wise, nteen, so maybe this is new to many of the people overseeing the pages. I understand being unfamiliar, but I think it should be more researched by librarians if they will push so hard to limit the knowledge others can get. a part got cut when published, but it was:

Your explanation does not change the situation. Whether you personally view the content as inherently significant or objectively correct is not relevant here. MOS:ROLEBIO is explicit on what qualifies for inclusion and placement. Whether a source is official or primary is also irrelevant in this context. WP:RS and WP:VERIFY address reliability and verifiability, not whether content is appropriate for inclusion or given due weight. WP:KO/MEMPOS has established consensus against attaching positions to roles, including workaround variations. "dance leader" clearly falls under that scope, regardless of how it is framed. There is no existing WP:CONSENSUS to support this addition, nor is there any new consensus to override WP:KO/MEMPOS. The content has already been reverted multiple times by different editors, which establishes clear editorial consensus against its inclusion. Until such consensus exists, restoring the reverted content is not permitted, regardless of sourcing, perceived significance, and/or framing. Any attempt to do so would be disruptive editing. On the contrary, your statement doesn't not sustent this case, since the examples given there are about roles within the group as performers, not about responsabilities outside of their performance aspect. As in "choreagrapher", if he was the choreographer that should be added, His role is more pertinente to that, he directs and selects the choreographies to be implemented. The cases you a4e citing doesn't not mention anything about "dance leader" or even similar, just because the titles sound similar "main dancer", "lead dancer", doesn't mean they are the same topic. Again, I think most of you simply don't know what those jobs are or what they consist of, so you are anuling new information to be known. This job hasnt been in other groups since most people hire choreographers to do everything, Lee Know was a profesional dancer and choreographer before joining the group, so when he was hired, he had an extra job besides being an idol, which is to be the "choreography captain", Im changing the wording since it appears listening to "dance leader" confused most of you with another unrelated topic.
