COI disclosure

Full disclosure: I contribute to OME in a professional capacity, though I have not been directioned in building this page in any way, with no institutional influence. Given the amount of reputable sources (coverage in journals like Science in Nature over decades) + mentions in other en.wiki articles, it seemed to me like Wikipedia would benefit from the article itself. It was done in good faith, taking extra care for NPOV.
