This is the SPA or single-purpose account template.

Please remember that a comment should not be dismissed merely because it comes from a new account; in itself, this is an argument to the person, considered to be rather weak. Unless there are multiple new accounts or IPs voicing the same opinion (a typical sign of sock puppetry), there is probably no need to use this template; the user should probably be addressed personally instead.

Usage

This template should be substituted and it takes one or two parameters.

Syntax: {{subst:Single-purpose account|username|UTC timestamp [optional]}}

Examples

If the SPA signed their edit, use the following format, placed next to their signature

{{subst:Single-purpose account|Example}}

If the SPA did not sign their edit, use this format, placed next to their comment {{subst:Single-purpose account|Example|07:57, 12 February 2009}}

— Example (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. The preceding unsigned comment was added at 07:57, 12 February 2009 (UTC).
