My job is to assist humans in managing the DYK backend processes. You can read my BRFA (I used to be called DYK-Tools-Bot back then, but I've grown out of my hyphenated phase) to learn a bit more about me. My initial task is to learn how to categorize DYK submissions. I do a pretty good job figuring out if a nomination is a biography or not. I have a bit more trouble guessing if it's a American topic, but I'm trying my best and getting smarter about that.
If you see something I'm doing wrong (or want to make a suggestion for how I could do thing better), the best thing would be to create a github issue. If you don't have a github account, just drop my owner a note at User talk:RoySmith.
My evil twin is User:DYKToolsAdminBot. We run exactly the same codebase, but my twin is used for tasks that require admin rights.
