Hi my name is Jeff Welch. I am a business management consultant, software engineer and co-author of two books: Bare Knuckle Project Management (BKPM) and The Red Pill Executive.

I help business executives achieve project control through consulting that manages their most difficult projects.  I also develop and teach their staff to leverage the same BKPM principles and techniques that I use, to leave an enduring PM capability that continually helps them achieve their goals.

Projects are not always equal; they may benefit from specialized industry knowledge.  I focus on IT implementations and information/learning systems development.  I do not manage the building of highways – though I’m sure they could use a little help too.

CORE to my basic project control methodology is the use of the BKPM Rapid Control Process.  This framework allows to rapidly get into the mind of project executives and start managing from outside the triple constraints of time, cost and scope.  Earning value for the project sponsor and owner always the focus and that requires control.
