My name is Robert McGowan. I was borned and educated in the UK and live in Australia. I have a BSc(Hons) in Geology, MSc in Hydrogeology, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and more recently became an accredited Trainer and Assessor under the Australian Qualifcations Framework.

My technical background includes hydrogeological mapping, groundwater supplies, contaminated land investigation and remediation, and hazardous waste management. In 2015 I left the role of Managing Director for the Australian operations of URS Corporation to build a family business called THink Aesthetics now providing diploma level training, plus treatments and supplies for cosmetic tattooing (permanent make up). I am on the National Advisory Board of the Aesthetics Practioners Advisory Network (APAN) and a member of the Commission for Tattoo Inks convened by the German Federal Bureau of Risk Assessment (BfR). The latter reflects my passion for the use of safe chemicals in the pigments used for PMU.
