Hi, just a courtesy message to notify you in case you haven't seen the Wikipedia:The World Destubathon contest update in the last few days that we've decided to run the full month until the 16th of July. For those who have been too busy to contribute, we would love some help in reaching 4000 articles by Wednesday night! G5 question

[edit]

Hi there! I wanted to reach out because you recently tagged Ringway Transportation System for G5, indicating that it was created by a user in violation of a block. However, you tagged Novatechnolabs as the blocked account. In this case, Novatechnolabs has a soft block and has been allowed to create a new account with a new username without violating their block. As such, I'm not sure I understand the G5 nomination. I have deleted the page under G11, but I wanted to reach out about this in case I'm missing something. Thank you! Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:27, 3 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Significa liberdade Hi, I saw the note at the top of the page suggesting it might be eligible for CSD G5 since the creator was blocked. After checking the content, I went ahead with the CSD nomination. On review, I think there’s a good chance you’re right about G11, and I may have overlooked the fact that it was a soft block. I only noticed the indefinite block on account creation and didn’t look closely at the full block details. It's my bad. Thank you for pointing this out and correcting me. Notice

The article Kush Desai has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a notable political figure. Article is entirely hinged on sourcing from his January 25, 2025 appointment alongside 20 others.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Bridget (talk) 22:38, 19 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Bridget I’m okay with the nomination. I originally created the page to cover his appointment as a White House Deputy Press Secretary. I had hoped the page would develop over time, but since it hasn’t, I’m fine with it being deleted, moved to draft, or whatever the general consensus decides. Divya Khosla Kumar

[edit]

You reverted the Divya Khosla Kumar article to use a cite that used WikiData as a source, which gets its data from Wikipedia. Sources in the Personal Life section contain a number of reports of birthdays, all of which indicate her date of birth is 1987. Escape Orbit (Talk) 12:55, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Escape Orbit I have noticed a lot of debate on Divya Khosla Kumar’s talk page about her birth year. Some sources say 1981, while others claim 1987, and people have been changing it back and forth... at both on Wikipedia and Wikidata. I follow several Indian Wikipedia pages and sometimes revert similar edits when it appears that the subject may be altering their date of birth. Divya Khosla’s page seems to be one of these cases. I hope you won’t take this the wrong way. I am simply trying to help ensure the information is accurate. Charlie (talk) 14:14, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's ok. No hard feelings! But I don't see any sources that say 1981. It's not uncommon for people to be "creative" with their date of birth, resulting in differing claims on different sources. But unless there are any better reliable sources than the ones already on the article (which aren't great, I'd admit) I see no reason for changing her date of birth to something unsupported. Do you know of any sources that say 1981? --Escape Orbit (Talk) 14:37, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Escape Orbit I will go with Rotten Tomatoes on any given day, as they are considered one of the most reliable sources. Please avoid Indian sources, as they are often unreliable. In one of the first album videos from 2000, she was shown driving a car. How is it possible for someone born in 1987—a 13-year-old at the time—to do that?
