I hate to disagree a final time but Moneytrees is right. I recommend reading User talk:LokiTheLiar#Let me show you why I think this for a good summary:

There is more I can say, but I think you get the idea. Chess being "wrong" or a contrarian isn't the problem. It's what he says, it's how he moves.

It's not really about what was presented at WP:AE or CTOPS. Something about me makes others believe I'm being disingenuous and causes them to hate me. I have been dealing with it for most of my life and in the majority of my interactions with others. The best solution once it happens is to disappear and disengage.

I am sad that this has happened on Wikipedia, but I am happy to prevent it from getting worse. I care about this site and like many communities I care about, it is better without me. Chess (talk) (please mention me on reply) 05:06, 3 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
