User talk:Elli
Hi! This is my talk page, feel free to drop me a message. To experienced editors: feel free to stalk my talk page and reply to any threads here.To admins: I prefer that my talk page remain unprotected, even if it's being vandalized. Such edits do not particularly bother me and I prefer to remain accessible to anyone who would like to reach me. However, if the volume of vandalism is so high that no other solution would stop disruption, I don't mind if my talk page is semi-protected for a day or two. Hopefully, this is a rare occurrence.
Question from Cerulean Depths (19:50, 26 November 2025)
[edit]Congrats on becoming an admin :) Is there a central place to request deletion of copyrighted information? See: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1324277280 --Cerulean Depths (talk) 19:50, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Cerulean Depths you can use {{Copyvio-revdel}} for easy-to-clean-up violations like this. For something that's harder to deal with you might want Wikipedia:Copyright problems, and for an editor with a long history of copyright issues you can go to Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations. Be sure to read the instructions on those pages before filing, though. Elli (talk | contribs) 23:10, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – December 2025
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (November 2025).

- Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
- Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). Happy holidays!
[edit]Elli, my fellow political geek. Thank you for all the support you gave this past year, from your encouragement to run at ACE to your help with feedback on the various clerk improvements and everything in between. I am thrilled that we will get to work together on ArbCom! Imagine telling these two editors that two years in the future they would be serving side-by-side on ArbCom... time sure flies. I always enjoy your company, whether that be collaborating on content, hanging out at WCNA, exchanging predictions for how various elections will go, or, of courses, stopping you from shooting the moon in hearts! All the best for you and yours in 2026, and happy editing :)
