Ways to improve Drumeo

[edit]

Hello, Gommeh,

Thank you for creating Drumeo.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Could you add references for some of the claims, such as "known for its youtube content" or claims about the number of packages sold. It will help improve the article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Noxoug1}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

WP:GARP archive

[edit]

Hi, I don't quite understand why you did this. It looks to me as if you made a pledge, someone reviewed your article, then you reviewed Deus Ex, so everything with your pledge worked as expected. Is there some non-obvious reason to hide this one from the archives? The fact that your pledged review ended up failing the article is of no consequence here, see Wikipedia:Good article review pledges/Archive: back when we were still tracking pass/fail, a pretty much normal percentage of noms ended up in fails.

Or do you think your Deus Ex review did not fulfil your pledge? In that case we should move it back to unfulfilled and wait for you to do another review. —Kusma (talk) 08:50, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok, wasn't quite sure how it worked. Feel free to re-add to archives. I thought it was supposed to be removed once done. lol. Gommeh 📖/🎮 10:32, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The archive is mainly there so we can see how successful WP:GARP is :) We had roughly 140 reviews connected to GARP since late June, about as many as WP:GARC gets done in a year. —Kusma (talk) 15:09, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Hellen Pigeon (14:04, 10 September 2025)

[edit]

Hi Gommeh, and thanks for offering support as a mentor. I'm a published author in the fields of economic and civilizational history, and I’ve been exploring how to contribute to Wikipedia responsibly — especially on topics I’ve written about. I understand the conflict of interest policy and recently tried to follow the {{Edit COI}} process after an edit was reverted. I’m now wondering what my best next steps are.

Since my book is recent, it hasn’t yet been widely cited. Should I wait several months (or longer) before contributing again to related articles? Or are there ways I can contribute as an expert in the field without crossing promotional lines?

I’m happy to take a long-term, policy-aligned approach — just looking for guidance on what’s actually possible at this stage.

Many thanks in advance. --Hellen Pigeon (talk) 14:04, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hellen Pigeon and thanks for reaching out. I'm glad to see you're taking an interest in learning about our policies and guidelines. With regard to citing yourself, please see the guidelines at WP:SELFCITE. If you're still not sure, perhaps try asking at the Teahouse.
You should never feel as if your contributions aren't welcome, however, so if you're concerned about the risk of self-promotion and still want to contribute to Wikipedia, you can always use other sources. You say you're a published author, so perhaps if you don't feel comfortable citing your own work you can cite the sources you used in your published works. Happy editing! An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Fontaine (Genshin Impact), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Montage.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 19:58, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Fictional elements introduced in 2025 indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 21:11, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
