Wikipedia:File movers

File movers are editors who have the extra ability to:

• Rename files.

Users who belong to this group, and therefore have the 'movefile' right, just use the "move" tab as they would normally on a regular page.

Note

Changing the file extension (i.e. the ".jpg", ".png", ".ogg" part) when a file is moved will dramatically increase the risk of damaging the file, and will almost certainly break SVG files, sound files, video files, document files, and MIDI files.
