Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser

CheckUser is the process of checking information about two or more users (including named users and temporary accounts). Some administrators are able to check if two or more accounts have been used from the same computer. These users also see User agents. This can help them decide if two accounts are related in the way described above. It is also possible to see if a user is editing from an open proxy.

On this page, users can request some users or IPs to be checked. Good reasons should be given for why a checkuser is needed; you should provide links which show the questionable edits, etc. Questions should usually be created so that they can be answered by yes or no. Responses will be short in order to comply with Wikipedia privacy policy. Sensitive information (like the IP addresses used by an account) are usually not reported. The results are not always clear, and a decision should not be made only on the basis of checkuser results.

Use of the tool

This tool is to be used to fight vandalism, to check for sockpuppet abuse, and to limit disruption of the project. It must be used only to prevent damage to the project.

The tool should not be used for political control; to apply pressure on editors; or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to check a user. Note that alternative accounts are not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of the policies (for example, to vote more than once or to make it look like more people support an idea). Checkusers will refuse a request, if the reason for checking is not good enough to warrant the use of the tool.

Please see the CheckUser policy for all the rules related to CheckUser.

The list of users with CheckUser access can be seen at: Special:ListUsers/checkuser.

The user I am complaining about has abused multiple accounts on Simple wikipedia as well as the English Wikipedia. Please check out the contributions for these:-

I like to inform that i was being blocked from English Wikipedia for sock puppetry and then some senior editors suggest me to edit on Simple English Wikipedia and wait for 6 months to request for unblock. Now all those my old accounts logged on my multiple devices and i used them to edit on simple English Wikipedia but never used these accounts to manipulate discussions, vote multiple times, or deceive other editors in any way. I just did simple edits by these accounts. In short, I have never misused them. And as u can see in those edits.

Moving forward, I will use only one account to prevent any future misunderstandings and ensure that I continue to follow Wikipedia’s guidelines.

Once again I did not misuse any of these accounts (u guys can see my edit history on simple Wikipedia), having multiple accounts is allowed on the wiki but from now on I will only use 1 account to avoid misunderstanding. Zubarkokar (talk) 15:15, 16 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
So you acknowledge that you have used multiple accounts on this Simple English Wikipedia is it?-Baangla (talk) 15:21, 16 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes but I have never misuse these accounts If I had then I would have been considered a sock puppet, I don't even remember the password for some of these accounts. I have multiple devices and i rarely edit on simple wikipedia so I don't much see from which account i am logged in i just did simple edits, where is nowhere u can see i am using these accounts in edit war, discussion or to avade restrictions. But for about the past month I have been using only this account to edit and I will continue to do so to prevent any future misunderstandings. Zubarkokar (talk) 15:47, 16 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Could you please list the accounts you have used here to assist everyone in investigating? CountryANDWestern (talk) 16:01, 16 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
These accounts already listed by Baangla in his first comment. Zubarkokar (talk) 16:13, 16 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
(Non-checkuser observation) @Baangla: Requests should be formatted using the {{checkuser}} template, with each user A, B, C you believe are socks put into the template like
*{{checkuser|A}}
*{{checkuser|B}}
*{{checkuser|C}}
You do not need to repeatedly question the user accused of sockpuppetry. If checkusers have any questions, they will ask before checking. --Ferien (talk | join TBA!) 15:57, 16 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ilovemarckumsos

[change source]

Ilovemarckumsos has been creating copy and paste articles about rappers and songs connected to Galactic Records. They have been warned for these kind of pages and are at final warning status. They started creating the articles then changing wording very poorly; basically moving a word or two around in the sentence that made no sense. See yvngxchris as a still active example. Fgjiseo has come along today to edit the same kind of topics. They are also creating pages by copying and pasting then changing the sentences with poor grammar. It appears that these two are the same user and they are just avoiding the potential block on their first account by jumping to the second. CountryANDWestern (talk) 01:52, 17 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I’ve also noticed that the edits made by Fgjiseo are very similar to those previously made by Ilovemarckumsos. Both accounts create the same kinds of pages about rappers and also post chat-like questions and answers on talk pages, such as on Talk:Yung Fazo and Talk:Slump6s. I had already advised the first user not to use talk pages this way, so seeing the same behaviour from a new account stood out to me. Saroj (talk) 02:24, 17 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Adding Colassww (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log)) as well. They are blocked for creating bad pages about non-notable rappers. On the English Wikipedia, they are editing the same pages as Ilovemarckumsos. Colassww Is blocked from creating pages there, so they seem to be using Ilovemarckumsos to create pages to get around that restriction. CountryANDWestern (talk) 11:11, 22 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Parrotofsahara

[change source]

Parrotofsahara recreated Kashmiril, which was previously deleted when WikiHelperOfficial created it. Both of these accounts have similar behavior where they make a few minor edits and then the same promotional article. Please check for any sleepers. Ternera (talk) 15:19, 25 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Ternera: The two accounts are confirmed. However, given that the block of WikiHelperOfficial is a username softblock, I'm not certain if Parrotofsahara should be blocked. Their creating a new account is not block evasion, and I'm not sure if you'd consider the recreation of the deleted page to necessitate admin action (I'm indifferent on that). Baangla

[change source]

That IP user suddenly popped up, no edit history, and start pinging multiple other editors to put ban on me, like here:

Same kind of thing also done by user :Baangla here:

  • Both the IP user and Baangla pinged the same user against me. And about the same topic.
  • IP user and Baangla supporting same argument on 2025 indo-pak conflict talk page like here:
  • Editing on the same page try the POV pushing here: IP user removed the analysis section of 2025 conflict page section and Baangla did the same thing here he removed many paragraphs from analysis section

New suspect That IP address could be part of this group because of its similar behaviour, no edit history, arrive on 29 November, and immediately starting disruptive editing on the 2025 India–Pakistan conflict page. Its editing patterns are also similar to the first IP user. Like here ~2025-36627-96 the user add the figures that india claim to "destroy 12-13 aircraft" without adding the source in his edit. Same edit again done by ~2025-37240-99 here without adding any source.

MaryUnderwood00 and AlexandraTerry

[change source]

Both accounts have a distinctive editing style.

  • Similar edit summarise "Added a simple sentence..." Vs "Added a simple English sentence".
  • Typically adding an unsourced sentence which doesn't include new information. Perhaps LLM-generated given the range of topics and speed of editing.
  • The one substantial edit by both accounts is to create a draft article in a sandbox about a software company.

Richard Nevell (talk) 22:36, 27 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I don't see enough evidence to warrant a check. Declined fr33kman 01:05, 30 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Fr33kman: the editing patterns are unusual, especially for new editors, and similar enough to make coincidence unlikely. Is it a case of needing a better explanation of the similarities or is the threshold for CheckUser that is not met in this instance? Richard Nevell (talk) 10:04, 30 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
The threshold isn't met fr33kman 19:16, 30 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Fr33kman: For future reference, what is the threshold? Richard Nevell (talk) 20:08, 30 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
There isn't a preset threshold, it's up to each individual checkuser to use their discretion as to whether or not a particular check should be done. In this case I don't feel the evidence is enough. There could easily be a valid reason that they are acting as they are. If another checkuser thinks differently then they can perform a check if they want to, but I think that's unlikely. Users involved:

Reason: Suspected sockpuppetry and block evasion. All three accounts are Single Purpose Accounts (SPAs) created within days of each other, editing only 2025 India–Pakistan conflict. They are reverting to the exact same text and removing the same sources (AirForces Monthly) with identical arguments. After I reported this on the Administrators' Noticeboard, an IP address (listed above) immediately appeared to make the exact same edit, suggesting the user logged out to evade scrutiny. An editor on the Noticeboard suggested filing a CheckUser request. Please check for technical matches. Zubarkokar (talk) 11:36, 4 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

The account RoyalEnfieldCT was indefinitely blocked today by Barras (and day after yesterday on EnWiki) for block evasion. The account The Aviation Tracker was created immediately after the master was suspected/blocked on EnWiki. Both accounts and temporary accounts have been "tag-teaming" on the same set of articles (Kargil War, Battle of Chawinda, Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Indo-Pakistani War of 1965). When one was reverted, the other step in.

But their behaviour is very much similar even their edit summary on the same edit was similar like here look at the edit by The Aviation Trackerhere "Your source doesn't even provide 600 causalities..." when this edit got reverted, on the same day RoyalEnfieldCT restore this edit with the almost same edit summary here "Not a single source mentioned about 600 Indian casualties...". another proof is that when i created a section on The Aviation Tracker Talk page that was deleted by the RoyalEnfieldCT proof Zubarkokar (talk) 11:28, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

As in the main wikipedia article in the Battle of Chawinda the result in inconclusive but somehow he is constantly reverting those edits as Pakistani victory, in the Kargil war too there he found an article of an author with history of Pakistani military there he is putting claims of 600 Indian killed, 1800 wounded and even reverting Nawaz Sharif and PML(N) claims of 3000-4000 Pakistani soldiers killed. He is also involved in agressive editing and vandalism with multiple sockpuppet accounts in 1965 one too. I will bring that one here too soon The Aviation Tracker (talk) 11:59, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
This alleged account ~2026-50598-1 whole history is 1 edit in which 2 bytes change and this account ~2026-50323-1 is just a Temporary account used due to technical issues preventing me from logging in, used for only 1-2 hours. Crucially, all i did from this account is update data because he raised question that the article is not neutral so i added more info and sources, i did not use it in edit war or in talk page nor did i link to a banned user nor did i violate the 3-Revert rule. Unlike you, I am not blocked, so my editing is legitimate. You are using multiple accounts to evade an indefinite ban, which is the actual violation here. Zubarkokar (talk) 12:29, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Is it a temporary account or your another another account used for vandalism will be decided by the administrators not by me. But you are using multiple accounts to edit small articles is being already confirmed. I just made this account two days ago, so you are the sockpuppet one not me. Administrators three suspected accounts are there with basic knowledge anyone can confirm and connected with each other
(1) @Zubarkokar (2) @~2026-50323-1 (3) @~2026-50598-1. This three are suspected sockpuppetry and either three of them are connected with each other mentioning sources which is not even in the main wikipedia article too. The Aviation Tracker (talk) 12:43, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Creating your account "two days ago" (immediately after the master was blocked) just confirms the evasion timeline. Furthermore, CheckUser has technically confirmed you share the same ISP as the blocked sockpuppet. That is valid proof, not a guess. Secondly, you restored the banned user's edits immediately after his ban today. And surprisingly, you started speaking on talk pages immediately after he got banned, using the same abusive language and repeatedly saying "stop lying" just like the master account. Zubarkokar (talk) 13:03, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
"master", "same ISP" stop talking nonsense and shit and tell why are you using sockpuppet accounts. I don't know about all these things what is this ISP or something else you are talking about. But I know one thing and that's confirmed you are involved with multiple accounts in simple wikipedia articles of mainly India-Pakistan's Conflict with your false and biased claims. And what will I tell to a person who is continuously lying and stupid claims too. If you want I change stupid claims to dumb claims too only if you want . You are using multiple sockpuppets and that's already confirmed now I will go and complain in sockpuppetry section against you The Aviation Tracker (talk) 13:34, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Update: Active Proxying

The user The Aviation Tracker has just restored the edits of the indefinitely blocked user RoyalEnfieldCT. They are actively enforcing the banned user's changes on the article. This is clear evidence of proxying/block evasion. Zubarkokar (talk) 12:31, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Stop lying sockpuppet @Zubarkokar
I restored my edits not of any other user of this Enfield. Watch properly The Aviation Tracker (talk) 12:44, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Here is the evidences he restore the banned user edits. RoyalEnfieldCT makes these 2 edit total of in which he deleted 1,246 bits today when he got blocked for being sock puppet of HarryinLondon I reverted his edits then with in hours The Aviation Tracker delete the same 1,246 bit . SoyokoAnis recover 1,246 but he again revert him and restore the ban account version. He did this in other pages too. Zubarkokar (talk) 13:53, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This is not a place to hold discussions or start arguments. CheckUser is a very serious process, and it is best to keep comments here clear-cut and focused. The argument above is disruptive to a process that this wiki otherwise takes very seriously.--BRP ever 12:46, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

VPN IP Block Exemption Request

[change source]

Hello, I'm SoyokoAnis!

I'm requesting if I could be IP Block exempt for the Simple English Wikipedia. The location I'm at does not allow access to the Wi-Fi unless logged in or bypassed through a VPN for some reason. I believe I make edits that are in trust and do not intend to abuse.
