但以理書補編是指在但以理書的希伯來語和亞蘭語的文本中無法找到的三個篇章。這三章的文本收錄於七十士譯本，這是現存最早由希伯來語原文的希伯來聖經翻譯成希臘語的聖經譯本。
這三章內容如下：
- 《亞撒利雅禱詞和三童歌》：但以理書3:24-90（希臘語譯本），新教正典中刪除了第23節之後的內容（第24節變為第91節），內容包含在「烈火的窰」的故事裡。沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌因拒絕敬拜偶像而被扔進火窯，獲天使所救，且唱起歌敬拜。[1]有些希臘語聖經的《亞撒利雅禱詞和三童歌》出現在《詩篇》的附錄。[2]
- 《蘇撒拿傳》：在早期希臘語抄本中，作為一段序言，位於但以理書1:1之前。在《武加大聖經》中，位於第13章。根據克里斯多福·布克（英語：Christopher Booker）的說法，這段故事和《比勒與大龍》，是偵探小說「最早的兩個實例」。故事裡，兩名腐敗的法官試圖透過敲詐勒索，迫使一名年輕的已婚女子與他們發生通姦關係，而但以理在嚴密盤問之下，挫敗了他們的計劃。[3]
- 《比勒與大龍》：位於希臘語譯本的但以理書12:13之後，作為結語。在《武加大聖經》中，位於第14章。故事裡有一個據說能奇蹟般吞噬祭品的銅像，而在但以理的偵查下，揭露了實際上是一個腐敗祭司團的幌子，他們用以偷竊祭品。[3]
《但以理書》現存於共12章的馬所拉文本，以及兩個較長的希臘語版本：約前100年的原始七十士譯本，以及約2世紀的迪奧多蒂翁版本。這兩個希臘語文本都包含但以理書的三處增補。而馬所拉文本則沒有。狄奧多蒂翁版本在其他方面與馬所拉文本更為接近，並且相當流行，以至於除了兩份七十士譯本的抄本外，在所有抄本中都取代了原始的七十士譯本。[4][5][6]顯然出自於希臘語的補編從未出現在希伯來語文本中。[7]有幾份《但以理書》的古希臘語文本被發現，目前正在嘗試重建該書的原始版本。[8]
