精確能源系統公司創立於1980年，專門從事炸藥研發及生產，產品涵蓋爆破裝藥及多種高性能炸藥[2]。客戶群體包括航空航天企業、石油公司以及商業爆破公司[3]。該公司與美國國防部簽訂多份合約，供應軍用炸藥[4][5]。僅在2025年9月23日，國防部便向精確能源系統公司授出一份價值1.2億美元的合約，用於採購TNT[6][7]。爆炸發生前，精確能源系統公司約有75名員工[8]。

出事設施位於田納西州希克曼縣，靠近漢弗萊斯縣交界，佔地約1300英畝（530公頃），毗鄰巴克斯波特泉[4]。全廠共設有8座建築，負責生產、儲存、研究及測試炸藥[3]。產品包括C4炸藥及TNT[8]。

爆炸

美中夏令時間2025年10月10日上午7時48分，精確能源系統公司園區內一棟建築發生大爆炸並被完全摧毀[12]。爆炸升起的濃煙巨大，甚至被WSMV-TV的天氣雷達偵測到[13]。直升機航拍顯示，現場有多輛受損車輛和焦黑的殘骸[14]。距離爆炸地點多達20英里（約32公里）的門鈴攝像機都錄下了巨響和鏡頭劇烈晃動。包括煙酒槍炮及爆裂物管理局、國土安全部、田納西州調查局和聯邦調查局在內的多個部門均派員到場[15][16]。由於現場仍持續發生次生爆炸，救援人員一度無法進入[17]。爆炸最終導致建築內16人喪生[18][7]，另有4至5人受傷[19]。

爆炸後，精確能源系統公司已全面停工[21]，當地電力供應商Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative正全力搶修電網，以恢復供電[22][23]。
