Facial expression

Facial expression is the motion of the muscles beneath the skin of the face. These movements can create the emotional status of a person to people watching them and are a form of nonverbal communication.[1] They are a main way for showing social information between humans, but they also happen in most other mammals and some other animal species.[2]
