First Investment Bank

First Investment Bank (also known as Fibank) is a large private bank in Bulgaria. It was started on 8 October 1993 by Tseko Minev and Ivaylo Mutafchiev. The bank’s main office is in Sofia, and it has many branches across the country. By 2025, it was the fifth-largest bank in Bulgaria, holding about 8.2% of the country's banking market.[1]
The bank provides services for regular people and large businesses, including bank accounts, loans, and credit cards. It also works in other countries nearby, with branches in Albania and Cyprus, and a smaller bank in North Macedonia. Today, the bank is owned by its original founders along with the Bulgarian Development Bank and the Valea Foundation.[2]
