The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is a part of the Government of India that looks after matters related to information technology and electronics. It became a separate ministry on 19 July 2016 after being split from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. MeitY is responsible for creating and managing policies related to digital services, IT development, and electronic systems. One of its supported initiatives is the "Northeast Heritage" website, which shares information about the northeastern region of India. This platform is available in multiple languages, including Assamese, Meitei (Manipuri), Bodo, Khasi, Mizo, Hindi, and English.
