Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Galigamuwa Central College, Kegalle Town
[edit]Hello Lavalizard101, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Galigamuwa Central College, Kegalle Town, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. CoconutOctopus talk 12:58, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
Redirect categories?
[edit]Hi, I noticed you recently adjusting the structure of several species redirect pages, specifically removing "R from species to genus" and the category shells. Can I ask why? The "species to genus" category instructs "R to monotypic taxon" should also be used. Furthermore, "species to genus" italicizes the page title, so "Italic title" template does not have to be used. -SlvrHwk (talk) 23:14, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- I personally feel that species to genus is kind of redundant when r to monotypic taxon is present as 99% of r to monotypic taxon is going to be species to genus. And the category shells I personally feel they are redundant when there is only 1 r cat template. Lavalizard101 (talk) 23:39, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- I side with SlvrHwk on this. Sure, most (but not all) "R to monotypic taxon" will also be "R from species to genus", but not necessarily the other way around (in cases where a fossil genera has multiple species). I think we should keep both. Cougroyalty (talk) 16:11, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
