Those Who Stayed

[edit]

Hi, do you mind undoing your revdel on Those Who Stayed? Seems that the website's episode list was taken from the Ukrainian Wikipedia article and translated into English. — Tenshi! (Talk page) 20:30, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Tenshi Hinanawi done. Wish things were simpler at times :-) Nthep (talk) 20:55, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Could you Review my changes

[edit]

I updated this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaiah_Bowman I added a citation and an institution.

I was not sure if The Explorers Club is in the correct place. Also on the Explorers Club Wiki page, his names is referenced but I was not sure how to add a link to jump to his name.

Thanks, Peter Pgmpjl (talk) 18:41, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Rekha Rodwittiya

[edit]

It looks like one of my edits on Rekha Rodwittiya was accidentally revdel'd as part of a copyvio-revdel request range. Would you mind undoing the revdel on my edit? Thanks, Referentis (talk) 17:53, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Nthep (talk) 18:03, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question regarding The Godfather copyvio

[edit]

Hey there, just wanted to ask why it is that it's not necessary to revdel the diff with the link? There's no question that the content hosted at that website is absolutely a copyright violation (unauthorised distribution of the movie), so is it the case that because the edit only links to a copyright violation but does not directly include it, revdel isn't required? Or is it something else entirely? Weirdguyz (talk) 14:22, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Weirdguyz Correct, links to copyvios aren't covered by REVDEL but removal of the link is covered under WP:COPYLINK. Nthep (talk) 14:38, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting, reading through WP:REVDEL and WP:COPYLINK makes me wonder if this is sort of in a gray area, because to me, what COPYLINK says about links to copyright violations seems to be more directed at links that do serve some purpose (for citation reasons, mostly), while in this case the diff in question steers far closer to RD1 as it is just a link to a free movie website. Weirdguyz (talk) 14:56, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
#RD1 covers removing copyrighted text from the history of a WP article. A link doesn't include any content. You'll also see that these types of links aren't covered by #RD3 either unless you've additional evidence that it's phishing etc. Nthep (talk) 15:24, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
