奇异球菌门学名:Deinococcota),前称同义词为奇异球菌-栖热菌门(Deinococcus-Thermus),是一细菌,其中只有唯一一个纲,即奇异球菌纲,对环境危害具有很强的抵抗力,也称为嗜极生物[4]

这些细菌具有厚的细胞壁,因此使其染色为革兰氏阳性,但它们包含第二层膜,因此在结构上更接近革兰氏阴性细菌。[5][6][7]
