Irish writer Eoghan Lyng is well known to wiki mods as someone who self edits repeatedly to promote his own work. He's also known to sockpuppet wiki discussion boards to make it seem as if he has supporters.

This is the current IP address he's hiding behind.

This relatively new IP displays similar behavior related to Eoghan Lyng: 176.61.106.62. This one, also having been warned, seeked to restore the content from the diff above: [2]. Decent chance they're the same individual. This IP also removed content related to the website "We Are Cult", who Lyng apparently used for work for: [3].

Some editors have been working overtime to fix these issues, but they're unfortunately quite persistent.

An older account with a long edit history, appears to have recently shifted editing patterns toward promotional activity, suggesting that the account may have been compromised, sold, or repurposed for paid editing. The user’s recent edits focus on creating or substantially modifying articles with a clear promotional tone, particularly about living individuals and corporate figures, without any disclosure of paid involvement.

Hello, I didn't know about this phishing website when I made this article and I apologize. Is there any way I can remove the link? And also, for future notice what are ways I can tell weather or not a website is dangerous or not?

The site itself isn't a phishing site (but it looks like an unreliable blog source and therefore not usable), but it loads an obfuscated malicious advertising script at soulsdeliriousnoise.com/.... Seeing as they created the article itself, FinnDalyyy clearly inserted the link in good faith and is not a spammer. OutsideNormality (talk) 04:30, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
